Not something that would go and visit every time you're in Stone Town, but worth a visit once. All markets around the world is but the same.

I really like this place, it’s a small market with lots of spice and fruits. It’s very colorful and beautiful. Vendors are nice and very friendly. It’s just besides the small fish market that is also interesting.

Took a tour of the Darajani Bazaar. Amazing place full of shops, spices, fish and beef. The hustle was fantastic and the smells brought you back to an earlier time of Arabic rule on the island.

As it been said. Opens in the early morning and close in the late evening. But if you want to feel the real buzz you should definitely go there ASAP.

They may take other funds but I always paid in Tsh. Depending where you are, it is a relatively easy walk, on the outside of Stone Town
