Located maybe 20 minutes from stone Town's coast, is a big dune of sand which get submerged during the high tide and is a great place to rest, get tan, enjoy the water and relax. Keep in mind that there are no shaded areas there, so it's recommended to bring something to hide from the sun.

We went to Nakupenda in the morning - 9:30 or so - and were the first boat to arrive. It was so lovely to have the place to ourselves. We worked with a local boater and he was with us, took photos and watched our bags while we walked from end to end. They were great! I would suggest brining... More

It's one of the greatest beach tours I have done in my life. It's actually great with full of beach view, silence, nice breeze and so so so! I liked the culture of people there and the way they interact with others. Also we moved from one area to another without local people and nothing affected us. It's actually great... More

White sand island surrounded by crystal clear turquoise water and disconnected from civilisation. It's as relaxing an escape as possible

We took a Dhow boat ride out to the island (~30 mins) and after dropping off our backpacks, we headed out to snorkel. The water was remarkably clear, but the tide was just too rough to have a super snorkeling day. Nevertheless we headed back to the island and enjoyed a great seafood (lobster & Calamari), chicken, and beef lunch... More

Although it's a beautiful beach, it's literally just sand and water. There aren't any trees or any form of shade so be sure to bring your own otherwise your getting burnt to a crisp under the hot Zanzibar Sun. The swimming itself isn't that great as there are many coral rocks scattered everywhere upon entering the water, you have to... More

This is a piece of paradise. White sand and blue water. A piece of sand in the middle of the Indian Ocean. This trip made our holiday in Zanzibar.
