We had about 50 people in our group. It was fun to learn about the Brewery's history. There are many interesting antiques throughout the tour. The guide could have spoke more slowly and louder. The pace of his speech was so fast, we asked him to slow down, but that only lasted for a little while. Otherwise, I would suggest... More

Every summer we would your the brewery. They have changed so much that it's not much fun anymore. No more trolley, the tavern is not nostalgic and it used to be 2 free beers or rootbeers. Just not that great, anymore.53rd c.f.

Had a great time doing the brewery tour. The history of the Brewery as well as the interior décor was very unique. With the $5.00 purchase of the tour ticket you get a guided tour and two cold glasses of beer or soda at the back in time bar. Picked up some cool items at the gift shop. The tour... More

This is a good glimpse at the way an "older" medium sized brewery functions with a insight into the history of brewing beer! The tour begins in souvenir shop. The brewery foot print is made up of 19th century as well as 20th century buildings. Tour parking is available on either side of the shop. As with most brewery tours... More

Lots of walking on this tour through the whole brewery. Plenty of history in this old plant and artifacts along the way through it. Really enjoyable and not a rush through type of tour. Very enjoyable and you end in the large barroom area where you can sample some suds or sodas in a fun atmosphere to end your tour.

We enjoyed our tour with family and friends. The staff were fun and friendly and the root beer is delicious!

This was my third visit to this brewery and it just keeps getting better. Originally the F.X.Matt Brewery years ago, Saranac has evolved into a high tech production facility for a variety of beers and ales. A very informative tour is followed by beer tastings which were very generous by the way. Also, during the summer "Saranac Thursdays" takes place... More

We never thought that a brewery could look this good. Besides offering an extensive and extremely informative tour, our guide took us through some rooms that had been restored to their original elegance and contained some priceless antiques. The Matt family has been brewing here since 1988, and during all this time they have been “hands on” and have paid... More

A somewhat personal tour of a very historic, large brewery. Parts of the tour have been updated from past years to show production of new products, but the brewery still seems and appears to be old and traditional. Main issue with the tour is that when you come to the end of the tour, you have to retrace your steps... More
