Working still on dismantling an old GM plant next to the lighthouse and you couldn't even get close to see it.

The picturesque Hudson gurgling by as sailboats took advantage of the last warm months and summer's end. The Tarrytown Lighthouse looks like it is out of s picture book! A great view of the Tappanzee Bridge in the distance. A trip to Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow is one of the most underrated things New York has to offer! I can't recommend it... More

Was looking forward to seeing the Tarrytown lighthouse but due to the construction from demolishing the GM plant the path to lighthouse was not accessible. We viewed the lighthouse from a side street by the new modern condos and view the enormity of construction that was occurring; I hope they put a park near the lighthouse so you do not... More

Nice little Lighthouse with incredible views all around. The park is excellent and get great views of the lighthouse and the bridge. Couldn't access the Lighthouse as it was fenced off, but still got to see and and snap some photos.

This is a beautiful park with pretty trees, picnic tables, places for volley ball. $5 parking-can be crowded on weekends. The lighthouse tour requests a donation but the amount is up to you. The lighthouse is well kept and has a good view of the coast. We enjoyed a couple hours hanging out in this park.

Could not actually access the lighthouse because the area was fenced off. I suppose we could have went through the hole but it did not seem right. This isn't really worth the drive because unless you come when the tour is.

Long a fixture on the Hudson River, the 1883 Lighthouse at Sleepy Hollow, formerly known as the Tarrytown Lighthouse or the Kingsland Point Lighthouse, is the only Caisson-style lighthouse on the river. Erected in 1882-1883, the lighthouse provided navigational aid to shipping on the Hudson and warned captains away from the dangerous shoals on the river's eastern shore. It is... More

The entire area was fenced off. We tried several locations to get some good photographs of the lighthouse. It was closed and there wasn't any access we could find. Not worth the trip to find it. We did see a sign that it was closed, but with all the construction around the site and the new bridge they are building,... More
