We were here on a sunny winter day. We saw many animals out and active. The path around had a little hilliness but was paved. We liked the red panda and condor.

We were in town for another event that wasn't as fun as we had hoped, so we searched for other things to do in the area and found this. Since we went in February, the prices were incredibly cheap! It only cost a total of $6 for my daughter and I to get in. Obviously due to the cold, some... More

We went to the zoo last weekend with temperatures in the low 30's. My favorite animal was the red panda. They are beautiful and were very active that day. Had gone in July when it was hot and the pandas did not come out. Going to see the animals is fun and you get some exercise walking the paths. Take... More

There is always a lot to see any time of the year. Wide variety of large and small exhibits and animals always seem to be in sight. They have excellent events for adults and kids (ex: Halloween, brew at the zoo).

This is a nice zoo but it is very small. Go to the Rochester zoo it's much bigger. I went as slow as possible and still finished the whole zoo in less than two hours

The zoo here is nice to have close by. I have been to better zoos in several cities. But zoos are difficult to maintain. So while not the greatest, we are fortunate to have this one. It certainly worth an annual visit.

I generally shy away from zoos. This one was fairly animal friendly though some of them were isolated and looked bored. Probably wouldn't go back. Prefer to see exotic animals in their natural habitats which for most of these is not upstate NY.
