Seems like a safe and slightly scenic walking area right in the middle of downtown. We walked some of the path. It was well marked. Pretty clean.

I guess they are trying to clean up the park and the lake, but they still have a long way to go. Geese are everywhere, which means you have to watch where you walk to avoid the poop. Tip: put stakes by the lake front...More

I took the Onondaga Creekwalk on my recent visit to Syracuse. It was a really enjoyable way to spend the morning. Walk it at your own pace, pack a picnic, as there are some great spots to sit and eat. It spans approximately 8 kilometres,...More

It's a quick walk from the Red Cross down to the Amphitheatre and back. The dogs love the walk and the sound of the water running by is relaxing. It is a nice alternative to Erie Canal or other suburb walks.

Nice easy walking path that takes you on some of the lesser known views of Syracuse. You can start from either end, the outlet by Destiny USA or at Armory Square. I'd recommend checking your time and making a stop at Cafe Kubal across from...More

Well maintained. A great way to travel if you like to walk, bike, or run. We used the Creekwalk as part of our Food tour route.

We had fun following the Onondaga Creekwalk. The creek would go under tunnels and change directions. It was fun. We saw a dragon while we walked. Naturally it was man-made. There were also a lot of information about the Erie Canals. They explained the locks,...More

Beautifully laid out and maintained, the creek walk is pleasant to bike or walk on. From the walk, you can see old bridge arches.

You could probably add another 3/4 of a mile each way. If you have your cell phone or smart watch on you can calculate better.
