I came here as a visitor to the island, checking out the sights in walking distance to the ferry terminal. No one was here and it was a memorial to the victims of 9/11 from SI.

Just a 10 minute walk away from the Staten Island Ferry terminal. Pretty deserted on a weekday morning, which is just fine. Can catch a view of the Manhattan skyline between the 'wings' of the memorial. Worth a quick visit before the return trip via...More

Gorgeous. Peaceful. Respectful. It's a shame it's not widely known. Stand between the postcards and look directly at the trade center....it's beautiful at night time. Very well done memorial.

Its takes about 4 or five minutes to walk from the ferry along the the water front to stop by and pay your respects to those who paid the price on 9/11. Lets not forget that freedom isn't free.

Connected to the Staten Island Ferry terminal by a stairway (or accessible ramp), this is a perfect place to remember what we saw on that day the United States was attacked. While the World Trade Center burned, then collapsed, hundreds of people watched in shock...More

Worth a visit if going to Staten Island on the ferry. Just a short walk from the ferry terminal is this small memorial to the 9/11 tragedy. Two large white "wings" form a beautiful view of the lower Manhattan skyline. Gazing through the wings -...More

Just a short walk from the Staten Island Ferry, Postcards provides a great view of Manhattan, with the new One World Trade center framed directly in the middle of the "wings" of this monument. The wings are oddly reminiscent of the long piece of the...More

There is no admission fee. It is located on a boardwalk that is very close to where the Staten Island Yankees play as well as the Staten Island ferry - The ferry is free too. The only issue is usually parking. Pay the... More

During contruction, the best places to park are the Staten Island Ferry parking lot (Free on Sundays) or the courthouse parking garage located at 54 Central Avenue.
