Pleasant place to spend an afternoon of meditation or just strolling.

Caleb is a park with many surprises. They have featured events at times, or just a place to walk or read a book.

This park has a really old museum with creaky floors and woodwork galore. It was nice walking through there and seeing what they had to offer for children and adults. The manager, Clarence Warehouse is such a nice guy! Many trails to walk and relax on and it's such a big area that it doesn't feel crowded.

Beautiful park. Paved trails for strollers and/or roller skates. They offer great family programs at very cheap prices! I think $4 a kid! And so educational and fun for the kids! Sometimes we just spend hours inside the house playing with the toys! Great way to get the kids out of the house and keep them entertained!

What a beautiful park. So well kept yet natural. The fee to go in is a little pricey but worth it if you are going to spend some time. You make it what it is. There is water, trails, a place to stop and rest. I would recommend this for a romantic afternoon hike or picnic.

I live in Smithtown. Caleb Smith State Park is a nice one. But, there are nicer right around. Like Blydenburgh, which is one of the best on Long Island. Not far away is The Bluff, at the mouth of the Nissequogue River on the Long Island Sound, which is exceptional. But, Caleb is nice and worth a trip or two.

The nature center and museum at Caleb Smith State Park is another of those hidden gems visitors and local residents can still find if they are paying attention here on Long Island. Our family frequents the museum and nature center about a half-dozen times throughout the year. The park itself is a great place to take a hike or go... More

really nice place to connect with nature. The trails take you through the park where you can find foliage at its best.

I have been to Caleb park. Nice enough when there is no entry fee. The are are no pets allowed and no bike riding, only on foot. There are much prettier places to explore.in the area. The trail from kings park bluff to sunken meadow is very pretty and free. Dogs are slo allowed on trail. If you are not... More

I visited Caleb Smith State Park for the first time a few months ago on a incredibly warm January afternoon. I found the makers had to follow for the trails but we just walked and tried are best. After an hour and twenty minutes we felt like we had a good hike. Next visit I want to check out the... More
