A cemetery is not where one would first think of as a place for recreation, but the history found here as well as the extensive roadways make it just that. Visitors can get a free map that shows where the famous (Washington Irving, for example)...More

We came on memorial day to pay our respects to the fallen, this is a peaceful place. Not much parking here. But it's best to drive around anyways so you can see the most of it. There's plenty of famous graves and interesting art work...More

Unfortunately, I arrived close to closing time, 4:30. I was able to drive around some very narrow lanes and only was able to find grave stones from the 1800s. Nevertheless, due to the close proximity of the graves, I can imagine how interesting it would...More

Yes. No problem. You can park on the grounds in designated areas. It a hilly terrain.
