Wine tour

Excellent wines lot to chose from, light table wines, heavy after dinner, my favorite is the merlot. Many good places to eat.

A great way to spend a day or two if you enjoy wine tasting and wineries. We went during the week, most of the time we were able to get in and out of most of them pretty quickly due to the smaller crowds. Most of the locations are easily accessed from either rt5 or rt20, just be sure to... More

We have made the trip back to Western NY & PA several times. Great experience. We both love wines, but the scenery and restaurants are great as well. We do the fall tour and visit 22 winerys in 2 days. All wines are paired with an item made by the winery. Top 5 winerys include but not in any order... More

We haven't done this trail for 6 years and there are some new wineries that we had not visited. All were very friendly. The wine choices are exceptional especially at Mazza and Heritage. The ice wines are a little pricey but well worth the money for a special occasion. A few times a year there are special events which include... More

I returned to Lake Erie after 39 years. The lake seems significantly cleaner, but it does not seem to have been significantly built up. I enjoyed ~60 mile ride up RT. 5 and down Rt. 20. It was a windy day, So I suggest starting against the wind. Visited several vineries and tasted the offerings. I found both the servers... More

I am told this area is largest area in US growing grapes. You drive past many large acres of vineyards to get to fine wineries. The wineries are scattered so highly suggest a GPS to find them all. Several offer free or low cost($2. or $3.) tastings for around 6 wines. Some even offer free tastings of all their wines(30+).... More

For many the California Coast, triggers 'wine country' however, this area, beautifully located along the Erie Sea Coast is just the 'yellow brick road' to guide one on this side of Conus. The culmination of the years is this weekend in the city of North East, Pa. Here, the festival is a 3-day extravaganza, with live music, a number of... More

I am new to this Trip Advisor, and the day I set this up I was not quite sure how it worked. I do have to say that I truly apologize to this business because this was the wrong establishment that I wrote a review on. It was suppose to be for Heritage Wine Cellars in Northeast PA. I again... More

Our two-wheel tour through Lake Erie Wine Country was organized by Dave and Ruth Dennis of Lake Country Bike, located in the tiny town of North East, Pa. They're real pros, having led tours in Italy, Canada and the U.S. What fun we had sipping our way across the countryside, touring wineries, chatting with the winemakers themselves, and stopping for... When I first moved to western New York from the Finger Lakes I remember just a few wineries spread apart along the lake. Now it seams they just keep popping up. The wineries here are comparable to those found in the Finger Lakes region and much friendlier than those in Napa Valley. Spend a day driving along the trail. You... More
