An Artists Garden

Lovely little free(!) garden that is part of an artist's retreat. There are fountains, sculptures and flowers, a woodland walk. Small but pleasant

Took a stroll through Yaddo Garden on a September afternoon. It was a very pretty place with rose gardens, statutes, ponds and waterfalls.

We stopped on our way out of town and it the grounds are beautiful. Now I have to find out what the old building is that is not open to the public but part of the grounds

The grounds are spectacular. The weather was overcast and eerie so it was the perfect setting for a ghost tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and very good with her "ghost" stories. The sad part was we got to the Indian grounds and it began to rain. Our guide had her umbrella but most of the people were not prepared. Although... More

Easy to get in and out. Nice walk . No charge and safe . Very pretty. Spectacular roses. Can be done if a half hour or less if you want , or you can linger. We have been 3 times and will return.

Beautiful gardens lovingly restored by volunteers. Arrange for a $10 docent guided tour of the Rose and Rock Gardens and get a wonderful summary of the Spencer and Katrina Trask Family and their dreams of setting into motion this beautiful property for artists of all types to come and create!

Yaddo is a beautiful estate filled with ponds, woodland and open field areas, and beautiful gardens. To respect the privacy of the artists, the house is closed to the public, but is beautiful from the outside. The house has only been open to the public a few times over the last 30 years, and I was fortunate to go on... More

My boyfriend and I both enjoy visiting the gardens at least once or twice a year. The varying colors of the roses are so beautiful! I love getting close-ups of them in the sun! Or even after a rainfall! The rock garden in back is my favorite though. So green and peaceful. Really great place to read a book!

Brought an out of town friend here for quick visit and she loved it! She is an artist in her own right and fully appreciated the beauty of the spot and everything Yaddo had to offer. Can make a short trip or bring a picnic and spend the afternoon.
