I have used this trail about haldf a dozen times. Currently it goes from Ballston Spa to Coons Crossing. Next year, it will be extended south to Mechanicville. My favorite part is the unpaved, stone dust section from Round Lake to Coons Crossing. It is...More

Amazing trail! We did it top to bottom. Calm and quiet. We could bike side-by-side without being in anyone's way. Our only complaint is that it is too short! We would have liked some sightseeing along the way, but took a quick tour around the...More

It's a shame it's getting so popular. I try to time it very early in the morning. The trail will take you from Ballston Spa to Mechanicville. I like to stop by Leah's for a quick refreshment. It's a great trail as there aren't too...More

This trail is great - except... it frequently closes off multiple miles with no status online to warn you before you get there to find it closed. The latest multi-month closure is due to some kids going off trail and falling into a sewer line...More

Use this trail on an almost daily basis. Perfect for an effortless stroll or a nice long bike ride free from traffic. I love that I can walk from my house to two different parks without worrying about traffic.

This trail is the perfect place to spend a few minutes or a few hours, a pleasant walk for me with a few paces of running in-between! Quiet, peaceful, foliage of all sorts, and friendly people passing by.

This trail is long, but well maintained and mostly paved. There is not a lot of elevation gain, so good for anyone. The scenery is beautiful and friendly people on the trail. We like to stop in at Leah's Cakery in Round Lake for a...More

This is a great biking or walking trail. You can even stop by Stewarts if you need a drink or a snack. This trail also goes right by a playground near East Line Road at the Shenetaha park.

A great trail, easy to bike, hike or job. Very tranquil, serene and scenic at places. Lots of options to pick up the trail. Very flat with only a few small inclines.

This is a different sort of bike rail trail. Most rail trails are converted from old freight lines-railroads which looked for the fastest and cheapest routes between two points-a River valley with minimal elevation changes. The route selection standard means that they usually parallel major...More
