The Museum and Science Center is a great place that the family can go to over and over. They have many traveling exhibits that interest both adults and children. There is also the planetarium that would be another family experience. This is a very friendly family place with amazing classes for children available. This is a wonderful venue.

This museum is Excellent for children of all ages and adults alike! There are many hands on activities that the kids can participate in and all the exhibits are well maintained and up to date. MUST go to the Planetarium and catch one of the shows when visiting this museum!

The last time my family went to the RMSC, was when the Da Vinci exhibit was in town. There was certainly enough for each one of us to feel invested in, but the girls (aged 5 and one at the time) were pretty bored if they weren't in an area that catered to them. Having said that, there isn't much... More

We visited the Rochester Science Centre and found it was a bit small and not a lot to do. We have visited many large Science Centres with lots of activities and fascinating exhibits that keep you busy the entire day (ie: Ontario Science Centre in Toronto, Carnegie Science Centre in Pittsburgh, Museum of Science & Technology in Ottawa, etc). After... More

This is a dynamic science center that has substance as well as flash. There are numerous exhibits where children (and teens and adults) want to linger and learn. The staff is engaging and helpful. Definitely worth several hours, and we plan to return when in the area.

There are some interesting interactive exhibits here, but a lot of it involves walking, looking at stuff, and reading. So younger kids won't get much out of it.

We are kind of science museum geeks, and if there's one in a city that we visit we try to take it in, so we were all over visiting the Rochester Museum and Science Center. We were pleased with our visit. The Musical Electricity demo was the coolest part of the visit but on a rainy afternoon, we found plenty... More

Wish we had more time year but were able to watch a musical electricity demo late in the afternoon. I have to admit I was slightly nervous when our kids volunteered as participants but they thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience.

On a hot, humid day we visited the museum late in the day and also saw a couple shows in the planetarium. Our grandchildren enjoyed exploring and having fun with the various exhibits. The film titled "The Sky Tonight" was a bit long and boring at times, but all of us enjoyed "To Fly!".

We are science and history museum volunteers ourselves, so we go out of our way to visit museums when traveling. We were delighted with this one that has something for everyone. Lots of hands on exhibits (that actually worked) for kids, yet also more serious exhibitions for study, including one on slavery and the underground railroad, native american culture, and... More
