Beautiful to see at night with the falls lit in different colors. Need to walk half way or 3 quarters of the way across if entering from Browns Race to have the best view. Can park in garage or street parking if space available.

This is a truly fantastic natural wonder...a high waterfall, within a natural walled experience. The Genesee Brewery is also right there for enjoyment.

These falls are pretty amazing in the middle of the city. On the west side there is a historic district with nicely scaled old buildings, still in use. On the east there is not much, except a small park and walkway with good views of the fall. On a weekday in October the visitor center was closed so we absorbed... More

Stumbled across the pedestrian bridge on my way to Genesee Brew House. I'm a Great Lakes gal, so it was soothing to be near water (the sounds of the falls were very relaxing) right in the heart of Rochester. Lots of construction nearby, but hopefully it's to improve the surrounding areas.

The scenery here (in the middle of the City of Rochester) is beautiful. It just sucks that the neighborhood surrounding it is not even decent...its more like scary! If you go...go during the day and bring a travel companion, a cell phone, pepper spray and/or a gun for protection (*if you have a carry permit...of course)

The falls are nice but in the fall/winter they are muddy so go in summer when they are prettier. There's a nice walkway to view them.

On many trips to Rochester in the past year I always make sure to go here. There is so much to look at here. The falls are the main attraction but the buildings around it also have a certain beauty. I have gone in the evening each time and the setting sun gives the area the perfect, magical view.

We went first to the free visitors center for a look around the history museum. While there wasn't a great deal there, what was there was interesting and well presented. We walked out the trestle to see the falls and take some pictures on a beautiful fall day. Nice stop.

These falls are right in the middle of the city! A short walk out on the bridge connecting both sides of the river gives a nice vantage point for the view.

I could just wander around the high falls and marvel at the ways the locals used the power of water to fuel their businesses.
