The Walkway over the Hudson is a great place to go for a non strenuous walk and take in some incredible views. It's family and dog friendly. There is food on either side of the walkway which you can purchase and eat at one of the many picnic benches or bring it with you on your walk and sit at... More

Beautiful well-maintained bridge spanning the Hudson from Poughkeepsie to Highland. I have an Empire pass so can park right at the beginning of the span on the Poughkeepsie end but there is plenty of parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Strategically placed benches if you need a rest. Interesting information posted along the way. Views of the Hudson like no other.... More

The walkway across the Hudson was a great place for an afternoon walk. We had a sunny day with a beautiful cool breeze. Finding the parking lot on the west side was a bit tricky and there was a cost to park. Don't miss the views if you are in the area.

Great free attraction. Nice place to walk your dog, meet other people, look at the beautiful Hudson River, catch a barge slowly moving down the river. We go on a regular basis.

unbelievable views and chance to enjoy and appreciate the Hudson River beauty. It is so wonderful to have this landmark right here in the Hudson Valley. The volunteer staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. The more I learned about it the more I appreciated it. cant wait to go back !!

Having been with family for a sad occasion, I needed to get out. I needed a walk. Where better? It had just snowed the previous day and it was still lining the benches and rooftops. The sky couldn't figure out if it'd let the sun blaze or keep its grey blanket. The wind was loud and freezing. But the people... More

Great place for easy walk with wonderful view of Hudson River. Also great for biking and rollerskating. Best use of a historical bridge.

well worth doing if you are in the area. Parking available on both ends of the bridge. Keep in mind that ii is normally quite windy on the bridge as it is elevated way aove the river. May not be the best thing to do on a day with high winds, however. we have walked back and forth twice, and... More
