Not sure how the person thought that Shandaken = Schroeppel but the name of the museum is the Town of Shandaken Historical Museum. Great information about how life was lived in the 20th, 19th and 18th centuries. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Go for a visit.

This is a very old, Catholic Church now being used for the Phoenix/Schroeppel Historical Society. The day I went, was the Blueberry Festival Day wherein many locals were selling delicious baked goods all made with fresh blueberries. BTW, the blueberry muffins were out of this...More
