This was a great rainy day activity for us when we were in the area for a wedding. It was small, but it had just enough to keep my kids interested for the right amount of time. There was a small gift shop as well. It was optional donation, which we paid and it was worth it.

Just a quickie site to see while checking out Phoenicia. Stopped by so our 3 year old could check out a real train. He took a ride on the kiddie train, but unfortunately they've lost their lease or rights to the track for rides and tours on the big train. No more train rides, kind of sad! Staff was very... More

We stopped in here during our train ride, check it out and support the railroad and museum. Great family outing!

The hours of this museum are pretty unpredictable, but it is located just off the main highway and is very interesting even if you can't get inside. Looking through the windows is almost as good as being inside. Lots of interesting old railroad equipment -- a real touch of turn of the century railroading in the Catskills.

This is an old railroad station that is now a museum. The building itself is beautiful and very much what you picture an old RR station to look like. The volunteer staff was very helpful and friendly. Not too much in the way of exhibits, but it was worth it to stop by and take a walk back in time.... More

We took a ride with our under age 5 children and they loved it. It's fast enough to keep them entertained but slow enough to enjoy the scenery. A cute activity to fit in during a vacation in the Catskills.

Everyone who visits should go at least once. Great scenery, beautiful train and great people. One of the best conductors in New York! It also has a great museum.

How lucky are we to have this little treasure in Phoenicia capturing our history. Many thanks to all the volunteers that make this happen. A gem.
