Fort used in the French and Indian war along with the War of 1812. Also used as a camp for holocaust survivors after World War II. They are still working on the preservation but it is already a great visit.

Beautiful setting, great views and lots of history. I'd add a trip north through Sachet's Harbor and Alexandria Bay to hear more about both Revolution and the French & Indian Wars.

This was a surprising site - it did not appear to have much to offer, but in fact it did. We were there with our son and his family, so we ranged in age from 70s to 4 and we all had a wonderful time....More
