Along the river in a clean, well maintained trails with adequate parking. It is an out and back hike, no chance of getting lost with moderate shade once you are about a mile out.

Nice place to sit and enjoy the view. Parking close to water. Cool off your toes! $6 entrance fee is reasonable. Off the beaten path and not crowded. Not a beach for swimming or laying out. More for walking and relaxing.

No, it closes at sunset. It's a beautiful trail though, along the Hudson.
