Sunsets are pretty in santorini but it gets sooooo crowded so it's best to get a spot at one of those restaurants so you can watch it in piece without getting pushed over from different directions.

The most beautiful in the world. Pictures is a must. I would highly recommend staying in Oia just for the sunsets. Having your own balcony to view and not have the hassel of the crowds along the Oia streets is worth it.

We spent several days in Oia. It was a great experience. Oia is a great place to visit. People, restaurants, stores are amazing!

The sunset at Oia has been well documented and hyped , but I had seen better sunsets. I can at least name one more place : Kanyakumari in India. The sunset depends on several conditions, one of them being the cloud formations in the sky....More

Worth the visit, but be ready for a lot of people in a small area. Try to get there an hour early to make sure you will have a good view and don't be in a rush to get out.

So so busy at sunset - the bus drops you in the central bus station and all of the little streets are so busy - some lovely shops but wait until later to look around - they stay open well after sunset

After viewing from the castle ruins one night, we took the Follow to the Volcano Sunset Tour. Fabulous and very reasonably priced.

We watched it from a rooftop restaurant, the local swimming pool and from Ammoudi Bay! You seen one, you've seen them all but you can't help yourself from watching and taking pics! Too many people in the narrow streets of Oia so I suggest finding...More

The sunset is nice but a little bit overrated maybe due to the fact that there are no clouds in Greece during the season. A good sunset is made by the clouds and the colors they reflect. The city is very nice but too crowded...More

We took a boat trip to the the Sunset and it was nice but to be honest I've seen better sunsets in Southend! Don't get me wrong it is worth the visit but just don't expect too much out of the ordinary!

Hi Tia, if you stay in one of the cliff front hotels/ villas, you can enjoy the sunset there with no frills. Otherwise if you want to "queue up" at the most popular spot which is Oia Castle, you might want to hit there by... More

Hi Christine, If you want an uninterrupted view of the sunset, my advice would be to book a sunset cruise, they are relatively cheap and usually include dining of some kind, this way you can avoid over crowding, get some... More
