If you are privileged to get the right accommodation then you can watch it from your Terrance or balcony otherwise from top of island at the ruins.

Absolutely essential trip to Oia for the sunset. Very busy though! Tip: go to end of road by coach park for less crowds & unobstructed view of sunset.

It is truly spectacular. We only observed it from the pedestrian walkway in front of our hotel (Olympic Villas) and it was gorgeous as it went down behind the buildings of town. If you want to see it set into the ocean, you will have...More

Simply Stunning. Photos cannot describe the view with the wind blowing the scent of the sea towards you and the quiet calm that travels throughout Oia as everyone turns their eyes to the horizon.

Come to Santorini and Oia if you want a romantic night. Thewhole setting with the white, greek houses along the cliffside, and the view when the sun sets in the sea ... a must !

Sunsets are pretty in santorini but it gets sooooo crowded so it's best to get a spot at one of those restaurants so you can watch it in piece without getting pushed over from different directions.

The most beautiful in the world. Pictures is a must. I would highly recommend staying in Oia just for the sunsets. Having your own balcony to view and not have the hassel of the crowds along the Oia streets is worth it.

Hi Christine, If you want an uninterrupted view of the sunset, my advice would be to book a sunset cruise, they are relatively cheap and usually include dining of some kind, this way you can avoid over crowding, get some... More
