Unforgettable to have seen this. The pebbles being torn back by the waves make a beatiful sound and as you enjoy this you see those majestic falaises. A must-visit when in France!

Amazing place with a great view of the sea and how the nature and the wind are capable to build great things. I just think that could be better preserved (a lot of trash, not well preserved tracks and some caves without any information).

Etretat is a charming coastal town and the falaises are absolutely beautiful. If you are able, hike to the top in order to see the white cliffs that extend for miles. We visited Etretat in late October and felt as if we had the twin to ourselves. It was truly sublime...and the local cats are very friendly and cute.

It was a pleasant surprise. We went first up at chapelle notre dame de la garda. From there you have a very nice view of the cliffs. The chapel gived a very charming atmosphere. There's enougvh parking space up there..it is quite hilly to go up..from there you can make a nice walk. It was lovely...there are stairs to go... More

It was absolutely beautiful: the beach, the cliffs, the weather, everything. Everybody loved it! You can walk to the top of the cliffs, and take gorgeous pictures.

Most people believe the famous "elephant driving water" of Maupassant is the first, southern, gate you see while arriving on the beach. In fact, its the northern one Maupassant was referring to. At low tide, you can access the cave next to the southern gate. Make sure you check the times of the tide though, as you would otherwise have... More

I was fortunate to visit the spectacular cliffs of Etretat on a beautiful, sunny day. I highly recommend walking up the path to the top of the cliffs for a breathtaking view. No wonder the Impressionists were taken by the beauty of Etretat. Highly recommend a visit if you are planning a trip to Normandy.

Unfortunately we did not have enough time. We spent about one and half hours here and walked up the cliff on one side of the beach. However, I think you need at least three hours here in order to walk up the cliffs of both sides and to enjoy the gorgeous views here. The cliff paths are excellent but steep... More
