Fortunately when we arrived our guide told us not to go in as it was cloudy. He advised that it was ,essential to visit when it was sunny!

To see the blue eye, the sun needs to be direct, which can sometimes be tricky when Cape Verde can be so cloudy, but we were fortunate on our visit, and the sky was mostly clear. We queued for about ten minutes which got longer...More
