The Whirlpool was fascinating. It's like an optical illusion you could look at for hours. If you are visiting you should see it, it's something you will remember and it's a great photo opportunity. As for the State Park, it's really clean and well kept and there are restrooms also.

wont call it a must visit place. We were at Niagara Falls, had time to kill and so too an organised tour of the place and saw this. If you have time, you can visit else you wont miss much if you skip it.

Very nice view of the rapids and whirlpool in the gorge below the falls. Abundant parking and newly paved sidewalks to the viewing area.

Stopped by quickly before leaving town. It is a beautiful little park with great views. It was chilly, so we didn't stay too long. Would've liked to walk the trails more, and go down to the water.

My parents and I visited here just a few weeks ago. It was very cold, and the gorge seems to create high winds, so if you visit in the winter, bundle up! The park itself is very well maintained. Plenty of paths and places to sit. There is a nice pavilion with picnic tables right near the parking lot with... More

We go there just for 15 minutes, nothing special there, just watching jetboat down the cliff at Niagara river. We don't explore all the park because there is not enough time to do that.

The park affords an expansive view of the whirlpool with good signage and several trails connecting here.

this was one of the hikes that we did and it was a gorgeous hike to and around the Whirlpool state park area...can be difficult in places so need to be carefu...dirt pathes...couple feet wide and straight off if you slip...whoo hoo...

Make sure you visit at the right time of day, if the sun is poking up from the Canadian side, you'll get crappy photos. Free attraction and a nice little walk around the park.
