This a wonderful area for hiking. Full of gorges, and this is one of them. Not super difficult terrain, but you do need good traction on your shoes and some degree of fitness. Hold on to your children's hands!

We parked in the nearby parking lot just a bit north off of Hwy 245 where the road splits. We headed up the trail adjacent to the dry stream bed (at least the first section was dry on the day we were there). There is a nice pool at the Tongue and if you are adventurous you can use the... More

Beautiful. Magnificent walk in nature ending up in a deep wading pool. My kids loved exploring and dipping in at the end. Difficulty rating: 3/5 Recommended footwear: water shoes with thick soles or Keens Wear sunscreen & Enjoy.
