Located in Long Island City. Old abandoned of 19th century school building, which was transformed to an urban gallery complex. Here you can see art you’ve never seen before. Tickets only 10$, really good price. Coffee shop with light lunch also served. Also out of doors seating. Coffee 2.5$, coke 3$.

We went out to Queens to see this, which took some time. The art was questionable. I am surprised that the Museum of Modern Art has their name on it.

I visited the museum just out of curiosity, had no clue of what I was going to find there. Ended up totally loving the visit. Even more than the interesting art pieces and emerging artist, the building is really the best part of the trip! Amazing venue! and the entry is donation too.

I visited MoMA PS1 with my husband. It's a great place with cool things to see and experience even if you are not into modern art. So very different from its first sister in Manhattan, but totally cool and Queens-y. Check out the in-house restaurant- really fun vibe and great food as well

Many visitors never leave Manhattan, and therefore miss excellent museums in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and MOMA PS1 in Long Island City. PS1, an extension of the Museum of Modern Art, has interesting large scale exhibits, a quirky brick building (former elementary school with separate entrances for boys and girls), and a non-Manhattan neighborhood which is easily accessible by subway or... Loved it! Highly recommended! Clean, curteous staff, well priced. 5/5. Gotta eat here, best NY pizza there is!

This facility was undergoing new installations so the exhibits were somewhat sparse. Thankfully the staff mentioned this to us and suggested one half the cost of entry. The few rooms that did have exhibits were questionable. Not a great adventure when it's mostly empty.

I was more impressed with the building than the actual art in the exhibit we saw, but that's ok. I will say the heat works VERY WELL in that old school house. HAHA i went in wearing multiple layers and by the end I was wearing only a tshirt and jeans. I look forward to returning to see their latest... More

One of the best museums in NY. I went there early January and Mark Leckey's work is currently on exhibit. I like how they made different sections of the museum like a maze with secret passages into the creative mind of Mark Leckey. Worth visiting. Check out their website so you can see the current exhibits before visiting.
