I go there often to just sit and think. Its a nice place to get things off your mind and pray. You can attend mass, eat food, and buy gifts.

Someone recommended we stop here on our way from Niagara to Buffalo and we were not sorry we did! The Basilica itself is in need of care and signs posted said that there was some sort of legal dispute which stopped them from renovating. The...More

This is a marvelous stop on the Seaway Trail, if you can tolerate the ultra-Catholic iconography. I'm Catholic myself, but even I have a hard time with some of it. There are dozens of paths lined with religious statues. I've never seen so many in...More

This Shrine could be so much more with some TLC. Looks like the Brothers are short of resources. It was interesting to walk through looking at all the statues of the saints. Can definitely see the draw to this quiet, spiritual location.

Quiet and subdued. Peaceful at best. Far from the hustle and bustle of city life. People go out of their way to visit this catholic church. I heard they had a light show during winter but I wasn't able to see it.

I went specifically to see the Christmas light display that they have here from late November to early January. Although it was cold we climbed the outdoor tower for a panoramic view of the lights which was beautiful. The inner sanctuary and surrounding hallways and...More

We were there at night, to see the Christmas lights. It was a very beautiful, quiet place to visit. Nice gift shop.

Beautiful sanctuary. If you are willing to walk a few stairs, there is a great view from the top of the building housing the sanctuary. Very nice grounds.

There was no cost but I'm sure that they would accept donations. It is a very unique place.
