Used google maps to get there from Lake George, it was a pretty ride there. We parked in lot #1 so the hike was a short one to the beautiful falls. Saw people of all ages on the trail.

Brought first time hikers from the urban jungle including a 60+ retiree with knee surgeries. After they passed through a few feet of very rocky terrain complaining and questioning if we were on the right track as there are no signs, it was an easy...More

After you drive in forever down the worst road in the world you make it to the parking lot. From there it’s an easy walk to the falls. Easy walk for everyone, but getting to the falls at the end is a steep hill.

Shelving Rock Falls is definitely worth visiting. People of all ages are capable of making the short hike there.

Was there. Never saw falls. Can someone explain to me which parking lot was the best. Easy trail? Seemed so confusing. Never saw anything. To me NOTHING was marked. Totally disappointed.

My husband and I went to shelving rock falls this past weekend (August). The drive from Lake George village was about 1 hour. Towards the end of the drive, you have to drive on dirt roads but it isn't as bad as we thought it...More

I have mixed feelings about Shelving Rock Falls. We chose this hiking spot because we wanted something fairly easy (and safe - we had already had one accident) for my 5 year old nephew. Even though this spot was an hour away from where we...More

Easy “hike” more like a walk in the woods. Very nice view and great opportunity for some family pics! Well worth it. The ride is a lot of unsaved roads but cruised right along at 30 mph the whole way so they are in good...More

The initial part of the trail is very rocky, a 4-point walker would have difficulty finding even areas to place weight on. The rocky area only goes for a few feet so if he gets flanked by two people for support he might be... More
