Gorgeous falls, beautiful hike. Definitely worth a trip! I will say that if you're choosing between Robert Treman State Park and Buttermilk State Park, choose Buttermilk. BUT I highly recommend going to both!

I really liked this park on the southern edge of Ithaca. Very easy to get to, plenty of parking, and multiple trails to take. You can walk to the waterfalls in seconds without having to follow any challenging trails. You can also venture off on...More

What a pretty park. My husband and I stopped here to check out the park. Unfortunately the gorge trail was still closed for the season so we will have to come back for that but the park is still quite beautiful!

Gorgeous views around every turn when you hike Treman. Be ready for a lot of stairs and hills (it is a GORGE, after all), but there are different loops for different lengths/intensities.

Great public waterfall. I went on a rainy day and a double rainbow appeared. See picture. $8 per car begins 4/29/2017.

The Upper Park trail is especially stunning. You have two choices to walk the circular route: the path on the right (going up), you walk down many stairs; if you take the straighter path on the left following the water, you have to walk up...More

Treman State Park is a personal favorite of our family for weekend hikes. The choices of trails and terrain mean that there's something for avid hikers as well as those just out for a Sunday walk in the woods. If you can, do climb up...More

One of the most beautiful places you will ever see. You can hike and hike until you find remote falls, and hidden ponds. So amazing!!!!!!

Good news, the falls and swimming area is a very short walk, maybe five minutes, from the parking lot. There are rock ledges to sit on if someone needs to rest. Park toward the far back of the lot if possible to make the... More

I believe both were open. We really enjoy the step side of the trail. I think the views of the falls are much prettier. There are quite a few stairs, but there are many places to stop & rest on the way back up if necessary... More

Well we were just there and under the diving board was very deep, well over 8 feet. Shallow end ranged, but fairly quickly went over five feet.
