Nice way to spend a Summer afternoon. Lots of shaded walks and special interest gardens (e.g. herbs). No real food available here -just a few snacks at a counter in the tiny gift shop. Combine this with a drive through the arboretum.

The Gardens are well cared for and charming. We just focused on the gardens immediately around the welcome center, and it was a nice way to spend an hour. There are many more grounds to cover that we did not see; I'm sure it would...More

The Botanic Gardens are wonderful woodlands to wander around with trees, plants and bubbling brook plus usually a lot of birds. Cross the road carefully to look at the large creek which was called Flat Rocks where one could go swimming. However a tremendous storm...More

Not much in bloom when we visited except the herb garden; the heat prevented us from spending much time there. There are many different trees and benches to just sit and enjoy the surroundings.

My wife, son, and I visited this place and we were very impressed. Although it was early August, many plants were in bloom. The grounds are well cared for. This is a lovely, quiet place to enjoy the beauty of nature and take a break...More

We visited these gardens yesterday afternoon. They were lovely. There are two sides to the gardens. To the right is the "sunny" side with lots of flowers. To the left is the "shady" side with many trees, shade-loving plants, and benches to sit and relax....More

It is. We just ask that you and your pet stay on all pathways, and you make sure to carry out any waste.

Depends on the flower, but yes, there should be some pretty ones, according to locals. Check out the article 'Finding Spring Wildflowers' on Ithaca . com.

It could be cold and wet...but def. a jacket/heavy sweater. It also could be brilliant and colorful. Prepare for weather (rain) and be pleasantly surprised. Temperatures could be mid 60s...with cooler (40s) at night.
