At the great cave of the Northeast, an elevator takes you 156’below ground. The doors open into a prehistoric underground cavern 6,000,000 years in the making! Trained tour guides help negotiate the cave and teach about its magnificent natural features. Back on the surface, mine for gemstones at Howe Caverns Mining Co. Beginning summer 2011, enjoy the first phase of Howe High Adventures—featuring ropes courses, climbing walls, zip lines and more!

Mysterious and uniquely beautiful is the passage through Howe Caverns. View the varied rock formations, the natural stone sculptures, and the subterranean lake. Take the boat ride over what was once part of a glacial ocean that covered upstate New York. A tour guide first...More

My husband went there as a child. There's a lot of new amenities but when he went 50 years ago you could see the bats. This time no bats . We loved the tour. It's worth $25 adult price. It's walking with some stairs. The...More

This was a fun experience and perfect for families. A lil pricey but doable. It's definitely cold so grab a hoodie. Tour guides are great and the boat ride was awesome.

We were fortunate in that we had almost no wait, we were the last tour of the day. Our tour guide was not as knowledgeable as some, but friendly and courteous. I love to be able to take pictures here, it's such an amazing geological...More

We decided in the morning to try a weekend visit to the caves. We called to make a reservation, but it took hours for a return call, only to find they were busy and no reserved tours were available. No online options. We were already...More
