The monolith is something to behold! We were a bit hesitant to climb when we saw it from a distance but it wasn’t difficult. We made it to the top in less than 45 minutes. It was fun to watch the brave ones scaling to...More

PROS *Good outdoor workout. *View from top is enjoyable and makes for a good photo. *Gorditas next to entrance were cheap and decent. CONS *There are a couple spots where you would be screwed if you fell. Surprised there aren’t more barriers.

I have been in Bernal around 10 times, the first two, were, and still are, the most profound experiences in my life. Why? because I had two extreme adventures there while climbing, so great, that are more than enough two write a book.

A pueblo magico, worth visiting for a couple of hours. My advice would be to avoid it on the weekend and holidays since it gets real crowded and, unfortunately there is much garbage strewn around.

Great hike, fairly steep with some rocky stretches to navigate. Wear decent footwear and a hat, not much shade. Beautiful rock.
