Rhinos in a closely protected environment

We experienced very good sitings of both white and black rhino during our stay. Roads are fine for sedans unless there has been heavy rain

This is a wonderful facility. We stayed two nights and went on safari twice a day. The animal sightings were way too numerous to mention. We had an encounter with a black rhino which was a bit close for comfort as he hit our truck but it was our fault for blocking his pathway. Giraffes, zebras, multifarious small deer and... More

It is a nice park where you are sure to spot some rhinoceroses and some other animals. The campsites and ablutions are clean. They have also a nice restaurant, and the outside sitting when you can often spot a black rhino drinking from the pool :-)

We loved the stay, after our long (600km) drive from Johannesburg. Great variety of game in this neatly sized park. The rhino were easy to find, numerous, fascinating. But, lots of other species. We did a 2hr drive in the evening, another 2hr drive in the morning, With the inexpensive park map, easy to navigate around. We were the only... More

Khama offers a lot of game viewing in a short space of time as the park is quite small. The game is plentiful though. Be prepared for very sandy roads but there is a fair amount of traffic so if you do get stuck it is likely that somebody will be along to pull you out Make sure you have... More

We keep going back to Khama RS, this time it was just a stop over on our way back to RSA, Camping sites are spacious and nicely spaced out. The roads in the park are accessible with a 2x4. There is also a swiming pool where you can enjoy some drinks from the bar. This is the place to go... More

We stopped here on our way north to the Okavango and Central Kalahari having crossed the border with SA at Martins Drift. Community Camp within the reserve I feel is the best which is a few K's from the gate along sand (4x4 necessary). The restaurant is by the gate. Ate in the restaurant first night after a long day...
