I visited this lake in November 2016. The lake is a marvel to the eyes, a veritable inland freshwater sea. It is the world's largest man-made lake and reservoir by volume along the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The length of the lake is 220...More

Amazing sunsets and perfect company, Friendly locals, Lake Kariba is perfect. Houseboats can be very hot and sometimes a shoreside lodge with a boat is the better option as you can retreat to a pool when it's too hot on the lake.

Kariba, the riveria of Zimbabwe. Its not the sea coast and you can't swim in the lake because of crocodiles, hippos and other 'nasties'. With the current state of the Zimbabwean economy the place is dead. Dozens of houseboats are ideal and its such a...More

Having said that. The views are incredible. It's so peaceful . There's wildlife everywhere, wildlife I'd only ever seen in a zoo before. The dam is awesome. ZPC Kariba also play in the township if you like football and want a fun Saturday afternoon.
