Beautiful but be careful

Bad waves make it dangerous to swim but you still have to visit this beach. So stunningly beautiful!

We went a quite long way by bike only to find this great beach with a big sign telling us that swimming was forbidden due to strong currents:(

Wonderful view at the beach, very wide with virtually no tourists. Huge waves are making it dificult to swin in, but great for taking photos and enjoy the view. Best visited by bike, and from there you can walk to Petite Anse (5 mins) and Anse Cocos (30-40 mins).

Beautiful beach. Can't swim there as the waves are too big and strong but can play in the water close to shore and it is absolutely beautiful there.

From where we were staying on La Digue, it was quite a far, hilly bike ride but it was worth the sights when we arrived. Small, quaint beach that looks perfectly untouched by man, which sits on the most beautiful white sand. You're surrounded by Mother Nature at her finest- crystal clear blue water, gigantic rock formations which look so... More

Yes, it's a lovely beach but it's a hard slog to get there by bike with long, uphill push due to heat and humidity and not being as young as we once were!! And it's not safe for swimming so to be honest there are better spots which are easier to get to and are just as beautiful.

A really nice place, a wonderful restaurant next to the beach. Rent a bike, get a perfect lunch and discover this beach and also not far away (walking distance) the beach Petite Anse. But, be aware going into the sea! I went in, a wave got me and throw me on the beach (nearly naked). Nothing happend, but i was... More

This was the first of 3 beaches on the southern shore of La Digue. Beautiful granite formations, and hard-pounding surf. We hiked from the parking area to this beach, then onto Petite Anse, ending at Anse Coco. Not for swimming, but a gorgeous post-card beach. You pass by hawkers selling coconut milk on the beach, but they are friendly and... More

We took a day trip from Praslins, which required a 20 min drive from our hotel and a short ferry ride. Once we got there, it was very cool to see this beautiful island where the main method of transport for local and tourists were bicycles. Hop on a bike for about $15/day and tour this charming little island. Very... More
