We were visiting our family in NY and wanted to go someplace with our grandkids. This is a fun place for everyone with so many things for the kids to do. It is a hands on museum where they can climb, build, play and learn. You can bring your own food and eat in their cafeteria where they have a... More

I can surely say that the long island children's museum is really a great place for parents and their young children can come and spend quite an entire day and enjoy the many things they have there ,if I remember one of the employees heard telling his mother "this is more than just a children's museum -this is fun"!Rhonda Bienes

I was babysitting my niece's and nephew during the winter break and was looking for a place to go to get rid of some of their"extra"energy! They had a blast! I had just as much fun as they did. They loved the bubble area and the building area. Great day was had by all Strongly recommend.

If you have young children, you should definitely take them here. This is a fun, interactive experience that is enjoyable for the kids and for the adults too.

This is a great place to bring kids from 2 and-a-halfish to about 8 or 9. The younger ones will always find something interesting to do even if they don't understand all of it; the older ones have a great opportunity to get some hands-on experience with some very educational displays and leave with more knowledge than they came in... You cannot bring your kids to a better place to learn - all the while having fun and "playing"! Plus - the opportunity to interact with other children here is tremendous. As a parent/caregiver, you can get as engaged (or just observing) as you want. A perfect way to spend a good half-day with you kid(s). All the hands-on opportunities... More

Everything is hands on. Two floors with lots to do and lots of friendly staff in aprons who are ready to help and chat with you. The Bubble room is a favorite. The Climber is a huge maze that kids crawl through and can overlook the museum. It's intended for children 42 inches tall or four year olds. There is... More

This museum is a fun and learning experience for children. I had a five and six year old with me. They could climb the ropes by themselves. They could touch almost every exhibit. There was a garden outside, water play area, as well as making drawings using things found in nature. They loved it I would recommend it for younger... More

My kids (ages 18 month and almost 4 years old) love this place. They have a "tot spot" area which is an enclosed area with big things to play with (a lighthouse slide, a real motorcycle that they can sit on, a big conveyor belt toy, a pretend train, pretend store, and a couple of other things). We usually start... More
