This place was really built up since the last time I was here, years ago, and I'm glad that I came back. There's now a visitor's center/museum, which is small, but does justice to the history of Fort Montgomery, and the battle which took place...More

The ruins of a revolutionary war fortress. There's not alot of the structure left, but you get a nice glimpse of some history of the Revolution and beautiful views of the hudson.

We spent about an hour going through the great museum displays and watching a 10 minute video that describes the historical significance of Ft. Montgomery. The video really brought to life the stories of the people behind the battles in the Revolutionary War. Great, but...More

We visited on a Tuesday and the visitor's center was closed for reasons we don't know. There is a pretty long walk up into the site of where the fort once stood. Little remains, and I am not a big fan of "imagine what was...More
