One of my favorite museums in New York City! I liked the Panorama of the City exhibit, showing a large-scale model of the city with all of its five boroughs. The museum is more than an art museum - it tackles relevant city issues such as its water supply, waste/landfill management, and social justice through activism. The museum building is... More

Fans of Tiffany lamps will want to make a beeline to this museum and its Neustadt Gallery, named for one of the earliest and most prolific collectors of these iconic Art Nouveau lights. Egon Neustadt was a Queens dentist who made his first purchase in 1935 – a daffodil lamp he picked up in a second-hand store in Greenwich Village... More

Panorama of the city is unique. Modern art some of which is rubbish! Wonderful Tiffany lamps - not to be missed! long walk from the subway

Hey! Ho! Let's Go | Ramones and the birth of Punk exhibition was incredible! There were lots of posters, photographs (including the passport of each member of the band!), clothes, musical instruments and lots of other interesting stuff for fans. Besides of that, there was an amazing exhibition with a panorama of the city of New York. All the details... More

If your in the neighborhood its worth going. But i would not make a special trip. I love the replica of ny in miniature. The Tiffany lamp exhibit is interesting.

Thing to remember about the boroughs of NY is that each is big enough to be its own big city were it anywhere else in the country. So a "regional" or borough-size museum can still be pretty cool even if it isn't downtown. If you are only going to come by once, or infrequently, a perfect museum size is one... More

This is an art museum with rotating exhibits but the main attraction is that it is the permanent home of the Panorama of the City of New York, as the miniature model is officially called. I have visited a few times and find it fascinating every time as there are minor rotating exhibits based off of the model. The major... More

Ok, I may not be the best reviewer for this museum. It is quite small and was a last minute decision for us to go there as we were actually there to see the 1964 Worlds Fair Unisphere which is in the same area. I am not a fan of modern art, but I love Tiffany lamps which this museum... More

We visited the Queens Museum in early July for The Ramones exhibit and planned to see whatever else was there. Parking in the lot just after noontime, there was a tremendous amount of trash and garbage that was lying about, not an appetizing sight to welcome us. It was gone by the time we left. The two women who were... More

The Ramones 40th Anniversary Exhibition is there until the end of July 2016 is a must see for any Ramones fan or Punk aficionado. The Ramones are from Forest Hills Queens. Two main permanent exhibitions of note are the Panorama of New York and From Watersheds to Faucets: The Marvel of New York City’s Water Supply System. The Museum is... More
