Less crowds than Jones Beach, more room and cleaner that Coney. Pros: beach, cops, travel time Cons: parking (arrive WAY before the lifeguards get on duty, trust me), hot-dogs don't seem to matter anymore. Worth the visit.

Beach is fairly clean. Lots of seashells to collect. Patrolled well by police. A great boardwalk for walking, jogging or bike riding

Great boardwalk and nice beach/surfing area. Plenty of places to eat, drink, or snack. The Boardwalk is really nice---for strolling, biking, or skate boarding. Impressed.

A nice quiet beach in Queens. Very scenic on the Atlantic Ocean. We are very lucky on Long Island to have beaches that can be reached by public transportation.

I love the area near the Dredsurfer Grill on 17th Street. It is relaxing, family friendly and calm. You'll find free parking too.
