Heckscher State Park is a waterfront park that has grills, a playground and beautiful shaded areas. Its a nice place place to relax and enjoy a day off.

This use to be the Gem of the south shore , they have slowly abandoned this State park . As of this moment the pool is slated to be demolished one of the main reasons folks went here - 2nd the camping area has not...More

This park is great for riding bikes. It is very clean and the grounds are well kept. I have never had any issues here parking.

A very nice State park. Boating docks, relaxing view of Great South Bay. The pool is no longer open to the public.
