I think this is the most well kept up state park we have ever been to. There are flower beds everywhere. It was after labor day, so not many campers. Very nicely taken care of, staff very friendly, very clean. Highly recommend this state park. Looking forward to another stay.

my friend and I were wrapping up a short road trip and decided to check out this park. We didn't get out of the car, just drove around and checked the place out. Several campers were in the campgrounds, even though it is October. (lots of evidence of New York States glorious fall color) I hope to come back someday... More

I love to take my 6 year old grand daughter. We can frolic for hours. Parking is close and the water is not too deep. They have it separated into two sections. one is very shallow and the deepest of the deep is approximately 6 feet. in the allowable swim area. Life guards are on duty. No inflatables.

This was a great little campground for our weekend camp. We stayed in site 22. I really liked that loop. My brother had site 25. The sites are lacking gravel. The fire rings are moveable so that's good. There's a cute little beach here & a couple of nice playgrounds. I would definitely return here.

It was a nice campground. Loved the fact that the ranger walked the whole campground and talked with everyone! Staff in check in were a little stiff. Bathrooms were OK but second day they were trashed and no toilet paper. New playground was great.

they used to have a very nice store that was great for all before someone got shot there and they tore it down.it was a fluke. it is a VERY safe place in a very quiet country setting and they used to keep it up better than they do ,but the camping is still wonderful

The family enjoyed our camping experience. The people in the camp office were accommodating and helpful. The shady sites are perfect in the summertime heat.

First off.... This campground is pretty darn nice! Some sites are much larger than others so beware. Had facilities in our camper so we did not use the bathrooms or showers. They do not sell wood but plenty available nearby for a steep price. PLEASE KNOW THERE IS A DUI STOP AT THE ENTRANCE AFTER EVERY DARIEN LAKE CONCERT!!!!! We... More

We come a few times during the summer and always have a great day but what happened to the bathrooms this year ??? They are closed with only portable toilets, yuck. I also miss the dude that used to sell hotdogs at a stand, they were so good. Have never camped but might in the future.

The campground was very clean and quiet. There is a constant presence of park rangers and state police. I was annoyed to see the entrance blocked by state police after the concert. We had a designated driver, but detained for 5 minutes, with questions of our whereabouts and activities. I felt we were at a customs station, not the entrance... More
