This was the second camp I stayed at with my boyfriend during the week leading up to Labor Day. I probably would have been completely blown away had I not stayed at a different, more fantastic park the 4 days prior to arriving at Higley Flow. However, this is a nice wooded park near the Raquette River and the Adirondacks.... More

Visited the Park to do some Hiking. There are some trails and the access is no problem. Unfortunately they are not very well marked and trying to figure out where you're going can be a problem. Walking is not bad but it is good to know how far places are etc. Still, probably a couple of visits if you're in... More

We have camped at Higley Flow without fail for 9 years. Despite selling our camper we returned again this year to visit friends and it is without a doubt the one regret we have in selling our camper. Great beach and bathroom/shower facilities. Plenty of recreation opportunities in The Flow. Loop B is our favorite.

We stayed in spot 32 on the B loop with our 25ft travel trailer since we have a dog traveling with us. Plenty of room for camper, truck, picnic table (provided onsite) and extra stuff. Fire pit onsite as well, wood $6. per bundle. Regs prohibit outside wood unless kiln dried. It was quiet, neighbors and staff freindly. Most sites... More

We were originally traveling towards Cramberry lake but they did not offer electricity hook ups for our camper, so were were told that Higley did and it was just 14 miles away. We did not expect what this state park was willing to offer and to our surprise we were totally impressed by the park at first sight. The person... More

Our family has a particular affinity for state parks in multiple states (NY, MN, PA, and WI). This is in the northern end of the Adirondacks (or just outside it, depending which map you look at). From Potsdam, it's the closest camping location. Definitely a nice place.

If you are looking for a campsite that has lots of big beautiful trees and privacy along with electrical hook ups and hot showers than this may be the spot for you. There is also a wonderful childrens play sructure, a small beach and a boat ramp. Staff are friendly and helpful and the park recycles. The only negative is... More

This is not the first time i have stayed at the campsite. As a child in the late 70s I stayed here with my family (our radio was stolen way back then), then as an adult my family stayed there 4 and five years ago. our children attended hockey sports camps at SUNY Potsdam during the day, so we enjoy... First night there dogs barking to midnight. Low life dirt bags took my camp stove and lantern. Area has definitely gone bad.

I live in Colton now but as a kid, we camped at Higley all the time! Today it's even better! They beach front has a very nice pavilion and play area for children! There are trails for hikes that are well marked with info panels! We've stayed in loop C, an electric but allows tents loop! It was fairly quiet... More
