Food shopping for the connoisseur. Cheese shop, pork store, bakeries, Italian pastries, general marketplace, breads, pastas, you name it. You can spend most of a day here, nice restaurants, but no public restrooms that we could find.
Being of Italian heritage, I enjoy visiting Little Italy. It is the next best thing than being in Italy. I love walking in the stores, eating in the restaurants and checking out the bakeries.
Arthur Ave is the city's best Little Italy in a stable, old world nabe. Eat at Antonio's and buy their fabulous bread from Addeo around the corner. Manhattan? Fugedaboutit!!

We walked here after visiting the Bronx Botanical Gardens, maybe 2 miles away? Arthur street is a collection of fabulous Italian restaurants, each with a long wait on a Saturday evening. When planning ahead, best to make a reservation. Neat little area.
