This place is just the best. Started off by it only costing us $10 dollars to get in. It's set in a huge wooded park so you get stacks of natural wildlife thrown in free. For anyone who likes birds it's amazing. A Kiwi, a...More

We went in winter on a free Wednesday.Paid the extra to get into the gorillas as they're our favourites. It was soon evident that many animals were in the warm and not in view BUT there was still a great deal to get around and...More

We went for Halloween, the weather was sunny and we spent a great time.
The park is big, with a lot of trees. Sometime you can have the feeling to be in forest. At this period, no too much people, very quiet and pleasant.

You will see different aspects of animals in the cold. Some are much more active at that time of year. My wife and I enjoy visiting zoos at that time of year for that reason. There also are a number of good indoor exhibits at this zoo. However, note that the monorail does not run in the winter, so there are some animals you will not be able to see as a result (the elephant exhibit for one).
