My wife and I have been going to the Bronx Zoo for years. They do an amazing job educating people about wildlife and challenges facing many endangered species. I recommend getting there early so you don't have to rush through it all. It's way better...More

Crowded, week day and not the free day. Nothing but strollers and young moms - where do they all come from? Arrived just half an hour past opening time - the parking lot, not cheap, was almost filled. Sea lions outside all year but three...More

Tried to take my kids somewhere away from the craziness of downtown Manahattan. I'm from near Toronto and this Zoo is very comparable in everything except price, where it is nearly double. I left enjoying the day but feeling I overpaid.

Fifty years and still going strong. Too bad they took the skytrain down. Look for discounts. Even the site offers 10% off. Great for all ages. Took my 12 year old. Also lots of romantic dates all around.

The Zoo is a remarkable place. User friendly and full of surprises. If Kenya is out of reach, this is a close second. But it aint cheap for families. A nice compliment is the close by "Little Italy" with many restaurants and Italian produce.

There is a parking fee but I do not recall what it is! We bought the total experience tickets...which in my opinion is what you need. Most of the really "good" stuff costs extra with a general admission ticket: ie-seeing the... More
