I am partial in favor of Rec Park, but it's a gorgeous city park-- you walk through a ring of old trees up to a beautiful carousel that plays music and is free all summer long. There's a giant pool that is practically free, and...More

Wonderful stop when passing by. Fun for the whole family. Kids will not find a more beautiful place to play and ride than here.

Where else can you ride a beautifully restored carousel from 1925 and for free! He didn't want any child to not be able to go on one so all they had to bring was a piece of litter to ride. The music comes from a...More

I was really impressed with how long the carousel ride was. I loved how old it is and the history behind it, I also loved that you can see the machine playing the music and doing the drums... very fascinating.

Like the new play ground they put in. My kids enjoyed playing there. The park has wooden instruments. Well shades.

The carousels are only open until Labor Day unless they have a special event. Last year (2015) The Recreation Park Carousel had a winter event for a few weekends around Christmas time.
