Funny how close we were to the place then drove all over town looking for something spectacular. It is the HOMESTEAD, not a mansion. Would like to know when or if it is open to the public for tours or work days or something.

The most important part of Beacons history. If you really like Beacon, you really must visit! You will get a feel for the " real Beacon," and it's history.

The DAR really needs to be commended on their renovation and maintenance of Madam Brett's Homestead. The Homestead is impeccably kept including the garden out back but I would wish that the locals would stop using the front lawn for their dogs. We had the...More
