The Mesalands Community College's Dinosaur Museum and Natural Sciences Laboratory is located in Tucumcari, New Mexico, on old Route 66. Many of the genuine fossils on display were collected by students enrolled in the College's Paleontology program. Also on display are life-sized bronzes dinosaur sculptures created through the College's Fine Arts Bronze program. We offer a discount on admission for active military.

My partner & I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this "dinosaur" museum. They were still putting the finishing touches to one section but 90% was open/accessible. A great mixture of resin (and other materials) models and genuine artefacts. NOt a huge space to have to walk around...More

My husband & I spent almost 2 hours here and learned so much at this dinosaur museum. You can even see into the lab where they are doing research. This is also a great place to bring your kids.

Came in to buy a toy dinosaur for a grandson and got a very interesting short tour. Certainly would like to return when I can stay longer.

Good for kids, allows them to touch and feel. Glass partition to see lab where people work on fossils. Suggest putting up a map to show general locations / areas (but not exact) of where fossils are found, just like is done in the western...More

A small place with a lot of stuff. Interesting exhibits and a very friendly staff, some nice hands-on stuff for the kids.

This is a great, short stop across I-40's wide open expanses. The museum isn't huge, but still worth the time. Our boys enjoyed being able to see representations of dinosaur bones and skulls. Stop in, if you have 30 minutes to an hour.

This was lovely! Not overwhelming, educational, well staged and easy to do in as little or as long as you'd like. My girls loved it, especially the interactive watershed activity. Very worth a stop. The gift shop offers a lot of cool items, too.

Found this on our way from the Historical museum. A well laid out display that covers a wide range of 'dinosaurs'. Very informative.

Do not know, but you should call the Museum and ask them - they were very helpful when I was there.
