History of the area and NM from Native Americans, Spanish settlement, rail roads, construction of Elephant Butte dam and the TV show Truth or Consequences fills the museum. Mammoth and mastodon skulls on display. You can spend hours in the museum.

So much to see, truly a great must see in TorC. Wonderful native display of pottery. One of the best places to see the history of the area.

This little museum is a wonderful trip through the archaeology history and quirkiness of southern New Mexico. The volunteers were informative, patient, and a wealth of information. Do not miss this amazing little place!!

I had a couple hours before I had to leave for Albuquerque. Interesting place to visit, not super well organized but that made exploring all the more fun. A real history buff could probably spend all day there, for me and hour and a half...More
