This is an excellent location to people-watch, to shop, and to just soak up history. Lots of things going on - even on a weekday. Great fun.

If stores, art, and shops are your thing then you'll love this area. Pretty much something for everyone.

Because of repeated fires, most of the buildings surrounding the Plaza only date from the 1930s. Lots of shops.

Lots of good restaurants & fun shops are located in the Plaza. Several Classy Boutiques, delis & cafes, Chocolate & Ice Cream Stores, Indian Crafts & almost everything you'd want. Also, the Historic Taos Trolley Tour Bus operates from here for visitors.

We do the plaza at night after the tours and crowds have left. You can window shop and browse at your leisure and figure out where you should return in the daylight hours. Safe at night...no worries there at all.
