My husband and I enjoyed this museum. We love old buildings with all their charm and quirks. It doesn't take long to go through the rooms. The paintings and photographs are good and the home reflects how houses can go through many changes. Enjoyable but...More

The home is maintained in a way that gives the feeling that the Blumenscheins have just left. Fascinating how they acquired additional rooms as they became available so the house has taken on a quirky shape. A quiet backwater, well worth seeking out

A well preserved home of an artist, this gives an idea of what it was like to live in Taos long ago. While not impressed by the art, the history of the place was interesting.

This is probably not the best place to see Blumenschein's works, but it is a good place to see how artists lived when they first started coming to Taos. The staff are also exceedingly friendly and helpful.

The aspect of Blumenschein's home is interesting, but I came to see his works. Instead the vast majority of works on display are by his wife and family and not himself. There are only two or three works of his and none of his better...More

This was interesting to have a wander through. No photos allowed and watch your head as you walk between the rooms. OK but not a favourite.

This place was not the easiest to find but was worth the effort. It is on a lovely, historic street and feels like stepping back in time. The home is as it was when the family of artists lived there and includes much of their...More

This might be something you want to see if you are interested in the group of artists that "discovered" Taos in the early 1900's. The price seems a mite high for the few rooms filled with a motley assortment of inexpensive early 20th cent furnishings...More

Very wonderful display of late 19th to mid 20th century artwork amidst The Blumenschein home in Taos off Ledoux street. It was wonderful to see what the family did and what happened during their life in Taos. The house was really a great display of...More

We really enjoyed our tour of the Blumenschein Home and Museum. The volunteer working was so friendly and knowledgeable. The home gives you a great feel for how the first artists settling in the community lived. I hope they are still having the Painters of...More
