We visited with our two small children. We had nice picnic in the park and then strolled through the zoo. The zoo is small and not very fancy but my two year old loved it. We were disappointed the train wasn't working.

Parts of this zoo are sad and depressing, while other attractions are spacious and well maintained. The zoo is free and it offers a good variety of animals. There is also a playground within the grounds.

Many animals eg bears and mountain lions are kept in very tiny spaces. They can only take few steps in any direction. Their pools are full of algae. They shows sign of mental distress and frustration. It is really awful.

Altho small in comparison to big city zoos, it is very nice & enjoyable. One day at the zoo with my sister the female buffalo brought her "baby" over to us.

This place is gem of a place. So many cute animals, open free to the public. We took our group and were really impressed by how well the animals appeared to be cared for. I saw a badger up close. Thank you Roswell!

This is a great little zoo; and it is also free. There is also a train you can ride for .50 cents a person. We only wish that some animal exhibits had more shade for the animals. However, the animals all look very healthy and...More

Let me start by saying this, manage your expectations. This isn't a zoo in San Diego or Dallas, it's a FREE zoo in Roswell, NM. That being said, it is a wonderful place to visit. The animal selection is very good and the animals all...More

You can't beat the price because it's free. Not a huge zoo but still pretty awesome for a free zoo. The have a concession stand with cheap snow cones. 50 cents or $1 for a large. Hard to beat killing some time here. I'd go...More
